Criminal Record Expungement Facilitation Services
A clean slate for your future. We handle the paperwork and delivery
to Pretoria. A past conviction or an old admission of guilt fine can create unfair roadblocks when you
apply for employment, international travel, or residency visas. Under South African law,
certain criminal records can be permanently removed from the National Criminal Register
if a period of 10 calendar years has passed without further offences. We offer a structured, professional administration service to verify your eligibility, compile your formal application, and securely deliver your legal files directly to the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development (DOJ) in Pretoria.
Our Two-Step Process & Fees
Step 1: Record Verification (AFISwitch Check)
- Fee: R300.00. Before any application can be submitted, we must legally confirm the exact details of your
record (the specific offence, sentence type, and exact conviction date) to ensure you meet
the strict criteria to qualify. - We capture your digital fingerprints to pull an official AFISwitch electronic background
check, which issues the necessary and accepted SAPS 69h report.
Step 2: Application Compilation & Delivery
- Fee: R700.00 (Inclusive of all secure courier costs to the DOJ in Pretoria)
- Once we confirm that you legally qualify for expungement, we handle the administrative
heavy lifting to get your request into the hands of the government
.
Important Legal Disclaimers & POPI Act Compliance
Turnaround Times: The Department of Justice manually audits archives and court
records. The end-to-end process typically takes 6 to 8 months on the government’s side
to fully clear a name from the system.
Follow-up Constraints: Due to strict privacy regulations under the Protection of
Personal Information Act (POPIA), the Department of Justice prohibits third-party agents
from checking application statuses once submitted. All follow-up inquiries regarding
your pending file must be made by you (the applicant) directly with the DOJ. We
provide you with your proof of submission to make this tracking process seamless.
Basic Checklist to Qualify for Expungement
You may generally apply to have your record cleared if:
- A minimum of 10 calendar years has passed since the date of the conviction or fine.

- Your original sentence was an admission of guilt fine or court fine not exceeding R20,000.
